Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship 2027 in USA & France | Travel, Accommodation & Meals Covered
Are you a young leader passionate about climate change and clean energy transition? Then, Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship can be a fascinating opportunity for you. This leadership fellowship will gather a diverse group of dedicated young climate leaders from different emerging countries. During the fellowship, participants will interact with Yale faculty members and leading climate advocates. They will exchange views on important problems related to climate change and global clean energy. Travel, accommodation, transfers, and most meals for both in-person sessions will be covered by the host institute.
Yale Climate Fellowship is a hybrid program with three parts, including both in-person and remote sessions. The in-person fellowship program in the US will include an orientation week at Yale University from 1–5 February 2027. Participants and experts will set the framework for global climate change discussion. After that, fellows will participate in interactive remote sessions with top climate experts from March to June 2027. These sessions will focus on policy issues related to climate change and clean energy transition.
The second in-person fellowship program in Paris will take place from 14–18 June 2027. Fellows will share information gained through this program with each other. During this leadership program in France, leaders will have networking opportunities with officials from different international and government agencies. At the end, participants will present their recommendations to an advisory committee and publish their findings as well. This international fellowship program will help fellows develop their technical skills and professional networks.

Eligibility Criteria for Yale Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship in US and France:
- Applicants should be between 5-10 years into their professional careers with regional, local, or global achievements.
- There is no specific age requirement but young applicants will be given preference.
- Applicants should be representatives of the Global South. Candidates from developing Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America/Caribbean are welcome to apply.
- Applicants should have excellent command of English language.
- Applicants must be available to participate in all three parts of the program, including 2 in-person and 5 remote sessions.
- Fellows must also work on a collaborative group project.
